Unexpected HelperHere in Vermont, we spend part of our summer to stack wood so we have fuel for our wood stove in the winter.
 
Stacking wood is one of those meditative exercises I love. Taking piece after piece, trying to fit it 'just so'. Focused, yet repetitive. Work like that really frees my mind.

Help! He chewed it. He bent it. He squeezed through the door. 

Our puppy-dog is fabulous. No question.
He helps out with daily chores.
He is listening more and more.
In part due to an obedience class. In part because our horses and cats are setting strong boundaries with him. (I‘ll share more about this in another blog.)
