I’ve never met a sea turtle in the wild. But when I carved this mug, I felt like I was sitting with one.
 
There’s a hush to it—a calm that moves slow and deep, like ocean currents far below the surface. The lines of the shell, the soft weight of the form, the quiet gaze carved into clay… it all came through without effort, as if it had been waiting to emerge.
 
Some pieces feel like conversations. This one felt like listening.
